Looking back on the history of the development of China抯 competitive sports, the paper expounds the relationships between competitive sports and the enhancement of the state and national centripetal force and cohesive force, especially the possibility and reality of inspiring the patriotism of the Chinese people and strengthening the cohesive force of the people with the aid of Beijing Olympic Games, which features the common culture of the world.
