通过上海与纽约、伦敦、墨尔本这3个公认的国际体育赛事知名城市的体育赛事发展的比较，分析得出上海的体育赛事发展在赛事数量上的差距并不明显，主要的差距体现在：固定赛事少；赛事的级别不高，影响力相对较弱；赛事本土化程度不高；群众体育赛事发展较弱；体育赛事管理水平上存在一定差距。

英文摘要:

By the comparison between the sport event development in Shanghai and that in New York, London and Melbourne, three world-renowned cities for world sport events, the article concludes that the gap between the event quantities is not significant. The main gap lies in less regular sport events, lower event level, weaker event influence, less localization of the sport events, weaker development of mass sport events and lower level of sport event management.
