With a background of speeding up the construction of an international economic center city, the article discusses the relations between Shanghai sports industry and the construction of an international economic center city and the basis, guiding ideology, development target of Shanghai sports industry development in Turning Shanghai into an international metropolis is included in Shanghai's "12th Five-Year Plan", which sets a higher requirement on Shanghai抯 competitive sports. Based on the development of competitive sports in Shanghai, the paper discusses the tasks and missions given to competitive sports in turning Shanghai into an international metropolis."12th Five-Year Plan"as well as the relative policies and measures.
