Sport is the main driving force of German TV media development. After experiencing the two stages of public monopoly and autonomy, sport TV media has formed a double-track system development model, which is more fit for the requirement of modern market competition. German sport TV media is based on the development of two cultural fields of television and sports. It conforms with German political system and features the characteristics of high degree of autonomy, balance of competition and public welfare. By the method of literature study, the article makes a theoretical analysis of the history and status of German sport TV. Taking soccer, a representative sport, as an example, it reveals the characteristics of the social development of German sport TV media. |
