By the methods of questionnaire, statistics and logical deduction and taking the councils of the Confucius Institutes around the world as the subjects, the author made an investigation of the current status and development of wushu curriculum. The result shows that great need of wushu curriculum exists in the Confucius Institutes at present. But the imbalance of wushu teaching in the Confucius Institutes of the different regions can be seen. There are not enough teachers. Effective and integrated arrangement has not been made for overseas teachers. The main difficulty in offering wushu curriculum lies in lacking practical teaching materials and effective teaching models. The paper suggests paying attention to the need of wushu course in Confucius Institutes, further strengthening wushu teaching, sending more teachers abroad, making full use of the native human resources, compiling practical wushu teaching outline and materials, putting stress on the innovation of wushu teaching, etc. |
