By the methods of literature study, questionnaire, comparative analysis and statistics, the paper studies the application of sport games in the public PE teaching in Nanchang University. It is discovered that the sport game teaching methods applied in the public PE teaching of Nanchang University lack innovation. In respect of the type and implementation of sport games, there is a gap between the PE teachers’ practical application and students’ expectation. The paper suggests that sport games should be applied to university PE teaching on the basis of fully considering the factors of student, ground and time. The teachers should fully understand students’ requirement and try to improve students’ initiative. They should make reasonable evaluation of the content of sport games, the individual student and the nature of lessons. They should also track the result and influence so as to avoid negative effects. |
