To systematically identify exercise risk for
the middle-aged and elderly people in the context of aging population, based on
previous researches, network news reports and various cases, this study, using
content analysis method, firstly sorted out seven first-level dimensions and
twenty two second-level dimensions of exercise risk for the middle-aged and
elderly people; and then invited experts to evaluate the content validity of
those dimensions to see if each dimension can be used to measure the exercise
risk effectively. The study found that exercise risk for the middle-aged and
elderly people could be well measured by the dimensions, including health risk,
exercise behavior risk, equipment and gyms risk, nature environment risk,
family conflicts risk, interpersonal risk and consumption risk. Expert scoring
suggests high consistency between the first and second level dimensions. The
study provides theoretical basis for the future quantitative research and the
prevention of exercise risk for the middle-aged and elderly people. |
