Against the backdrop of a once-in-a-century global transformation, international sports law is evolving with new dimensions, perspectives, and contents. The 26th International Association of Sports Law(IASL) Congress took place in Athens, Greece, from December 13th to 14th, 2024. The Congress, covering the theme "Sports Law: New Dimensions and Perspectives: AI Reform and Sports Regulations", delved deeply into the concepts, values, and theories of international sports law as influenced by social change, as well as the impact of AI technological progress on international sports law. It also concentrated on trending topics within the theory and practice of international sports law. In summary, international sports law is experiencing changes in concepts, values, and theories under the new circumstances; and the international sports order and legal relationships require to be redefined urgently. The innovation of AI technology has introduced new problems and challenges to international sports law, while the innovation of sports governance has also given rise to a series of new international sports law issues. |
