      The article elaborates on the roles of the Olympics, including bringing a lot of tourists, improving the tourist image of the host country, perfecting the assisting system of tourism, upgrading the tourist products, etc. The article introduces the experience of the previous host countries of the Olympic Games. The Olympics matured the Australian tourist market 10 years earlier. And the short-term negative effects the Athens Olympic Games brought about and its positive effects to the neighboring countries.
