| The chivalrous novels of Tang Dynasty depict a lot of sports. There are actual sports activities and some fictional martial arts of the chivalrous men in literary works. The depiction shows the sports development level in Tang Dynasty and the characteristics of diversity, mass participation, ornamental value and religiousness of the sports at that time. The chivalrous novels reflect Tang Dynasty’s martial Arts culture, successfully fictionalize chivalrous men’s martial arts and thus help the transformation of chivalrous culture from the singing of literati to literary illusion. |
