Popular culture takes up a lot of time for American students. Therefore, educators should acknowledge and embrace current popular television shows, video games and cultural phenomena to use those "hot topics" as platforms to connect critical course contents with student interests. Referring to the unit of American Ninja Warrior (ANW), a popular TV program in the United States, this study integrates the ANW- inspired unit and ideas of popular TV programs according to the characteristics of school-age children and the conditions of school stadium equipments to construct a PE Ninja Warrior course, and then introduces in detail the arrangement, plan and implementation of the course, ways of exercises in the form of obstacle challenges, as well as relevant fitness contents, safety and training principles. Chinese school-age children and adolescents are also faced with the similar environments with the United States.
